Less is more. This project was unusual in that the design, by Graeme Massie Architects, called for us to cut away more of the first floor reinforced concrete structure than we added with the rear ground floor extension. This provided a double volume space in which we constructed the central feature staircase using 40mm maple multiply a specialist, extremely high quality plywood.
The £200k project also included complete refurbishment of the rest of this to 3 storey townhouse, to form a contemporary home for our client incorporating numerous bespoke finishes and installations.
